Magnetic Stripper is the audio/visual project of James F. Ellis. Based in San Francisco, California, he is featured on both video and CD compilations and has performed at shows live with Rubber O Cement and Filthmilk. Almost always performing in costume, his musical sounds are created using not just computer generated sounds but also vintage analogue equipment. All visual animations are also created solely by him. James is an immensely talented artist whose musical creations span from harsh noise and power electronics to dubs and breaks. He credits Venetian Snares and Autechre as two of his influences.
